Farmacia Internazionale Costarainera S.A.S., led by Dott. E. Tacchino and located at Via Aurelia 2/C in Costarainera, is a trusted healthcare point of reference on the Western Ligurian Riviera — a territory characterised by significant seasonal tourist traffic in addition to its established local clientele across the province of Imperia. The pharmacy needed both a professional informational website and a dedicated e-commerce platform to sell pharmaceutical, parapharmaceutical, and health products beyond traditional opening hours and its immediate geographic area. The target audience was twofold: residents of the Imperia district and tourists visiting the Ligurian coast throughout the year. The primary challenge was building a trustworthy health-focused e-commerce with clear product categorisation, regulatory compliance, and a secure, intuitive purchasing experience. In parallel, it was essential to develop an SEO strategy capable of ranking the pharmacy for both local searches — such as 'pharmacy Costarainera', 'pharmacy open Imperia', 'parapharmacy Ligurian Riviera' — and product-specific commercial queries. Everything needed to integrate seamlessly with essential practical information: opening hours, available services, phone contact (+39 0183 92998), and directions to reach the physical location.
UreTech designed and developed the complete website on the Wix platform, building a dedicated e-commerce section with a product catalogue organised by category — over-the-counter medicines, supplements, cosmetics, hygiene, and personal care — featuring detailed product pages and a streamlined checkout process. The informational section was crafted to convey professionalism and reliability: pharmacy and team presentation, available services (consultations, blood pressure monitoring, compounding preparations), opening hours, and an interactive map with directions from across the Imperia province. A comprehensive SEO strategy and Advanced SEO plan were implemented, focused on local positioning along the Western Ligurian Riviera, with geo-targeted keyword optimisation, LocalBusiness structured data markup, and product page optimisation for commercial search queries. Special attention was devoted to mobile optimisation, given that a large share of tourists search for pharmacies and health products directly from their smartphones while in the area. The responsive design ensures a seamless experience across all devices, with optimised loading times and clear call-to-action elements for direct phone contact and navigation to the Costarainera premises.

The Results

The new website with dedicated e-commerce significantly expanded the reach of Farmacia Internazionale Costarainera, enabling online sales that extend far beyond the pharmacy's physical boundaries and reach customers across Italy. The SEO and Advanced SEO strategy delivered a marked improvement in local search rankings: the pharmacy now appears among the top results for queries such as 'pharmacy Costarainera', 'pharmacy Imperia', and 'online parapharmacy Liguria', capturing both residents and incoming tourists on the Western Ligurian Riviera.
